Mod Mutt Salon is a contemporary full service dog and cat grooming salon for the discerning pet owner. Our mission is to provide quality grooming in a pet friendly atmosphere while ensuring our clients, both pet and owner, receive excellent service in a playful safe environment. Mod Mutt Salon is an AKC SAFE Certified Salon. Most of our staff is certified in Pet CPR & First Aid through the Pet Tech.

Kristi
Kristi has 13 years of grooming experience and part of our team since 2018. Besides an amazing professional, she is our cat groomer. She has the patience to groom a standard poodle in a show dog style, introduce the grooming process to a puppy as well as precisely groom a cat. Her attention to details and consistency pleases her clients, making her schedule pretty consistent with recurring clients.
Nikki
Nikki brightens up any room she is in. She has over 10 years of grooming experience and she shows her talent every day with excellent grooms she delivers. Although she says she loves all dogs, she has a soft spot for schnauzers, poms and double coats such as Goldens and Aussies. From big to small, she loves them all.
Sarah
Sarah moved from CO to TX and joined our team in May 2023. She has over 10 years of grooming experience as well as a trainer. Her personality, strength and grooms are outstanding. Sarah grooms a variety of dogs and breeds; from young to older dogs, and large to small. Sarah and Iroh, the German Shepherd, are big in Dog Sports and outdoor activities.
Kat
Kat has been in the grooming industry since 2016 and joined our team in January 2023. She has a soft and gentle way to be. Her grooms reflects her persona. We are still trying to figure out her favorite type of dog to groom. Perhaps its their personality and not the type… perhaps its them all. Kat has two fun and entertaining cats, Luci and Ouija.
Jill
Jill joined Mod Mutt Team in June, 2024. She brings an extensive grooming and management experience to our group. With a professional, but fun and easy going personality, she completes the working environment. She does great with puppies as well as seniors and all in between. Jill lives with her husband and her two cats: Serenity, the talker and Ozai, the menace.
Marie
Marie and her family moved to Austin in 2023. She has been in the pet industry for over 26 years and has training and grooming experience. She loves pattern cuts the most but is happy with all dogs. Marie has a full house. Besides husband and two sons, there are two dogs: Lily and Chaos as well as two cats, a bird and a few other pets between fosters and guests. Yes, this is one busy lady.
Laura
We’re excited to introduce Laura, who has recently joined our team. Laura brings a unique mix of charisma and patience to everything she does. Known for her sweet personality, she has a knack for making others feel comfortable and valued.
Her favorite dogs to groom, but not limited to are: poodles, doodles, shihtzus and schnauzers. With her strong Asian-fusion style, along with breed standards cuts, Laura stands out in the best way, reflecting her vibrant and dynamic character.
Laura isn’t just about work – she’s a proud dog mom to Moony, her adorable companion who joins her on all of her adventures. Moony’s friendly nature and love for the outdoors make them the perfect pair.
We’re thrilled to have Laura with us, and we can’t wait to see the positive impact she’ll continue to have on the team!
Eliana
Eliana helps manage the salon as well as groom. She has a wide range of style. She usually stay busy with the giants and the elderly dogs. But, she takes care of other breeds and sizes as well.
Originally from Brazil, she can speak Portuguese and Spanish to accomodate a variety of clients.
Crystal
With over 15 years of experience in the grooming industry, Crystal has been making dogs look their best since 2008. She specializes in poodles and doodles, combining breed-specific styling with a flair for creativity and attention to detail. Known for her gentle touch and professional approach, Crystal brings out the best in every dog she grooms—no matter the breed.
A proud grandmother of three adorable grandkids, Crystal enjoys the simple pleasures of country life. Her warm personality, strong work ethic, and artistic eye make her a trusted favorite among pet parents who want their furry companions to look—and feel—fantastic.
Kate
Kate joined our team in 2024 as a bather. She seeks to be a groomer and has shown tremendous amount of dedication and discipline. She is cautious and caring. Her care for our canine clients is superior.
Elyssa
“E”, as we like to call, is our receptionist and an animal enthusiastic with over 6 years in the pet industry. The super friendly and professional face all our clients interact with. E is the meaning of a multi-task person.
Angel
With over 8 years of experience in the pet grooming industry, Angel brings a unique blend of hands-on expertise, leadership, and warm customer care to every client interaction. Starting as a groomer and rising to a supervisory role, Angel now serves as a friendly and efficient receptionist, known for creating a welcoming environment for pets and their people.
Fluent in both Spanish and English, Angel communicates with ease across diverse communities. Outside of work, Angel is pursuing a passion for music as a piano student — combining discipline, creativity, and focus in both professional and personal life.
Proud dog dad to Bailey, a sassy mini schnauzer, Angel knows just how much pets mean to their families — and treats every visitor with the same care.
Erin
Erin is a dedicated and gentle bather with a deep love for animals. Known for her caring nature and polite demeanor, she brings a calm and sweet energy to every pet she works with. Outside of work, Erin enjoys riding horses and spending time with her two beloved cats. Her natural connection with animals shines through in everything she does, making her a trusted and compassionate presence in any grooming team.
Fergie
Fergie has self claimed as the Shop Dog. If you see a giant schnauzer, gently going under your hand, you know that is Fergie. She welcomes many of our clients and hangs out with us while we work. She brings joy to everyone, including herself as she loves to receive pets from humans.
