Mod Mutt Salon is a contemporary full service dog and cat grooming salon for the discerning pet owner. Our mission is to provide quality grooming in a pet friendly atmosphere while ensuring our clients, both pet and owner, receive excellent service in a playful safe environment. Mod Mutt Salon is an AKC SAFE Certified Salon. Most of our staff is certified in Pet CPR & First Aid through the Pet Tech.

Kristi
Kristi has 13 years of grooming experience and part of our team since 2018. Besides an amazing professional, she is our cat groomer. She has the patience to groom a standard poodle in a show dog style, introduce the grooming process to a puppy as well as precisely groom a cat. Her attention to details and consistency pleases her clients, making her schedule pretty consistent with recurring clients.
Nikki
Nikki brightens up any room she is in. She has over 10 years of grooming experience and she shows her talent every day with excellent grooms she delivers. Although she says she loves all dogs, she has a soft spot for schnauzers, poms and double coats such as Goldens and Aussies. From big to small, she loves them all.
Sarah
Sarah moved from CO to TX and joined our team in May 2023. She has over 10 years of grooming experience as well as a trainer. Her personality, strength and grooms are outstanding. Sarah grooms a variety of dogs and breeds; from young to older dogs, and large to small. Sarah and Iroh, the German Shepherd, are big in Dog Sports and outdoor activities.
Kat
Kat has been in the grooming industry since 2016 and joined our team in January 2023. She has a soft and gentle way to be. Her grooms reflects her persona. We are still trying to figure out her favorite type of dog to groom. Perhaps its their personality and not the type… perhaps its them all. Kat has two fun and entertaining cats, Luci and Ouija.
Jill
Jill joined Mod Mutt Team in June, 2024. She brings an extensive grooming and management experience to our group. With a professional, but fun and easy going personality, she completes the working environment. She does great with puppies as well as seniors and all in between. Jill lives with her husband and her two cats: Serenity, the talker and Ozai, the menace.
Marie
Marie and her family moved to Austin in 2023. She has been in the pet industry for over 26 years and has training and grooming experience. She loves pattern cuts the most but is happy with all dogs. Marie has a full house. Besides husband and two sons, there are two dogs: Lily and Chaos as well as two cats, a bird and a few other pets between fosters and guests. Yes, this is one busy lady.
Laura
We’re excited to introduce Laura, who has recently joined our team. Laura brings a unique mix of charisma and patience to everything she does. Known for her sweet personality, she has a knack for making others feel comfortable and valued.
Her favorite dogs to groom, but not limited to are: poodles, doodles, shihtzus and schnauzers. With her strong Asian-fusion style, along with breed standards cuts, Laura stands out in the best way, reflecting her vibrant and dynamic character.
Laura isn’t just about work – she’s a proud dog mom to Moony, her adorable companion who joins her on all of her adventures. Moony’s friendly nature and love for the outdoors make them the perfect pair.
We’re thrilled to have Laura with us, and we can’t wait to see the positive impact she’ll continue to have on the team!
Eliana
Eliana helps manage the salon as well as groom. She has a wide range of style. She usually stay busy with the giants and the elderly dogs. But, she takes care of other breeds and sizes as well.
Originally from Brazil, she can speak Portuguese and Spanish to accomodate a variety of clients.
Jenna
Jenna is working to be a groomer. She has shown such a talent and dedication, we have no doubt she will be amazing when she completes her training. Jenna has a Camelot Macaw named Basil.
Kate
Kate joined our team in 2024 as a bather. She seeks to be a groomer and has shown tremendous amount of dedication and discipline. She is cautious and caring. Her care for our canine clients is superior.
Elyssa
“E”, as we like to call, is our receptionist and an animal enthusiastic with over 6 years in the pet industry. The super friendly and professional face all our clients interact with. E is the meaning of a multi-task person.
Fergie
Fergie has self claimed as the Shop Dog. If you see a giant schnauzer, gently going under your hand, you know that is Fergie. She welcomes many of our clients and hangs out with us while we work. She brings joy to everyone, including herself as she loves to receive pets from humans.
